  15. Shaymen sign forward Devonport

    Halifax Town have signed Fleetwood Town forward Owen Devonport on loan for an undisclosed period.

    The 20-year-old played 26 times for the Cod Army last season after spending 2023-24 on loan at King's Lynn Town in National League North, where he scored three times in 20 appearances.

    Manchester United youngster Ethan Ennis is edging towards a loan deal with League Two Fleetwood Town.

    Ennis was among the players to be left out of United's 2-1 Premier League 2 victory over Manchester City at Leigh as he secures a move away from Old Trafford.

    The 20-year-old has been in excellent form so far this season, with Plymouth Argyle among the other clubs to have enquired about him.

    He played 17 times on loan for Doncaster Rovers last season.

  20. Plymouth and Fleetwood possibilities for Ennis

    Manchester United youngster Ethan Ennis has enjoyed an excellent start to the season.

    The 20-year-old scored in a pre-season game at Rochdale and was on target in both United's Premier League 2 victories so far this season.

    After a spell on loan at Doncaster last season, the plan has been for Ennis to go out again this season.

    Along with many youngsters, Ennis is still to decide his future but Plymouth, managed by former United midfielder Tom Cleverley, and Fleetwood are two of the leading candidates to sign the Runcorn-born youngster at this stage.
