    Max Verstappen goes quickest in final practice for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

  3. And there's an improvement for Lewis Hamilton as the chequered flag is waved, going third quickest right at the end.

  4. Max Verstappen manages to sneak to the top of the order just before the end of the session as he does a 1:43.922, +0.099s quicker than George Russell.

    Charles Leclerc heads straight on at Turn Seven, prompting a quick wave of the yellow flags before he sorts himself out. Presumably the wind is causing drivers one or two issues there.

  7. The McLarens are still struggling to get near the Mercedes' time as Lando Norries goes sixth quickest, +0.977s off George Russell's time.

    Not quite the perfect session for George Russell as he locks up and goes straight on at Turn 7. He almost glances the barrier but avoids any major damage.

    There's an enormous gap between Mercedes and everyone else on this track. I think Max Verstappen is the best of the rest here.

  10. I say that but Max Verstappen has split the Mercedes to go second quickest, just over a tenth slower than George Russell. Verstappen got a huge tow off Liam Lawson, though.

    When was the last time a McLaren was a second off the pace? McLaren are in trouble around here.

  12. Mercedes are still quite far ahead of the rest, with Charles Leclerc third quickest and eight tenths off the pace, while Oscar Piastri is fourth but almost a second off it.

  13. Kimi Antonelli finds a bit more and gets the gap down between himself and George Russell to two tenths of a second.

    George Russell is looking pretty untouchable around this circuit as he increases his advantage over Kimi Antonelli. He's now seven tenths quicker.

  15. George Russell goes quicker with a 1:44.177. He's six tenths quicker than Kimi Antonelli.

  16. Mercedes are back out now on soft tyres so we should see the times at the top come down now in these final 15 minutes.

  17. There's a brief virtual safety car deployment because a branch got blown on to the track. A marshal has swiftly picked it up.

    McLaren are struggling generally at this circuit, Lando Norris in particular is struggling with the inconsistency of the car at this track. This McLaren doesn't suit this track they love high speed corners and there are none of those here.

  20. A familiar sight this weekend as George Russell is top of the order, clocking a 1:44.715. That's a tenth quicker than Charles Leclerc, who is on softs, but three tenths quicker than Kimi Antonelli, who is on mediums - the same compound Russell is on.
